There is no greater power on this earth than story.

Exploring the art and adventure of storytelling through video, media, and human experience.

The Roots We Tend
I followed farmers into the fields and into their stories — interviewing, filming, writing, and editing along the way. As producer and storyteller, I shaped each piece to capture their experiences, challenges, and insights into conservation practices, highlighting the human side of conservation.
Takeaway: Through this series, I learned how narrative choices and visual framing shape engagement and understanding. Experimenting with filming styles, interview narrative, and editing techniques showed me how to make complex conservation topics relatable and memorable.
Microbe Stories: The Most Dangerous Pathogens Today
I returned to my roots as a creative writer while expanding my experience as an animator and producer, creating fictional “interviews” with microbes that made scientific concepts engaging and accessible. Using humor, drama, and visual storytelling, I translated complex research into content that resonated with a wide audience.
Takeaway: This project expanded my creative range, showing me how humor, drama, and character-driven storytelling can make even the most technical information resonate.

Media Creator for Health Outreach Organization in Liberia
I designed videos, logos, programs, and graphics that were used across conferences, social media, and street campaigns to support a team of health and sanitation advocates in Liberia.
Takeaway: This project deepened my understanding of the power of brand recognition, explored strategies to reach younger audiences, and expanded my skills in collaborating across cultures and networks.
Sofi the Scientist: Discover The World of Microbes
I served as lead creator for an elementary after-school curriculum that introduced children to the world of microbes and their role in protecting against antibiotic resistance. I taught the pilot class and designed videos, activities, and games to engage kids, while measuring impact through reviews and self-evaluations.
Takeaway: This project was my first step into video creation. Using Canva and creativity, I learned that compelling videos depend less on flashy effects and more on strong storytelling and thoughtful scripting. I also gained experience designing activities and discussions that made science fun and memorable, while growing in both crafting engaging content and evaluating its impact.
